Professor Irwin elected British Academy Fellow
The Faculty is pleased to report that Professor Terence Irwin has been elected a Fellow of the British Academy.
Terence Irwin is Professor of Ancient Philosophy at Oxford. His studies focus in particular on Plato, Aristotle, Stoicism, Kant and moral philosophy and its history. He said: “I returned to Oxford in 2007, and have been fortunate in the philosophical environment there. Both in teaching and research, I have tried to combine work in ancient philosophy with some interest in ethics and the history of modern philosophy.”
