Mind, Value and Mental Health: Philosophy and Psychiatry Summer School and Conference

Applications are now open for the Summer School and International Conference on Philosophy and Psychiatry.

These two linked events explore areas in which the philosophy of mind and ethics or the philosophy of value make contact with mental health issues.  


Confirmed speakers at the conference include:
•         Louis Sass (Professor of Clinical Psychology, Rutgers University)
•         Gwen Adshead (Forensic psychiatrist and Gresham Professor of Psychiatry 2014-2017)
•         Shaun Gallagher (Lillian and Morrie Moss Chair of Excellence in Philosophy, University of Memphis)
•         Josef Parnas (Clinical Professor, University of Copenhagen)


Summer School

Led by experts in the field, the summer school will include guest lectures and seminars, consisting of presentations and collaborative talks. Events are led by members of the University of Oxford Philosophy Faculty. 


Interested participants can choose to attend either the conference, summer school, or both, with options for accommodation. Places at each event are limited. Full information for both the school and conference - including the booking form - is published on the Continuing Education website.
