Silvia is a Research Fellow at the Future of Humanity Institute. She studied Philosophy at the SNS Pisa and obtained a PhD in Philosophy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Between 2018-2020, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute, first in the Digital Ethics Lab and then joining the Governance of Emerging Technologies project.

Silvia’s interests lie primarily in epistemology, ethics, and intersections between the two, especially in connection with Artificial Intelligence. Her current research investigates the epistemological and ethical issues arising from applications of AI to personalisation and recommendation systems.
