Paulina Sliwa has jointly won the 2023 Sanders Prize in Metaethics

The Faculty is delighted to learn that Paulina Sliwa has jointly won the 2023 Sanders Prize in Metaethics for her paper “Changing Minds and Hearts”.  Paulina studied Physics and Philosophy as an undergraduate at Oxford, before going on to MIT for her PhD.  She is now a professor of moral and political philosophy at the University of Vienna. The sponsor of the prize is the Marc Sanders Foundation which generously supports regular prizes for excellent work in philosophy.  Other prize winners who studied or now work at Oxford include Rachel Fraser (for Epistemology, 2021), Martin Pickup (Metaphysics, 2020), Andrew Bacon (Metaphysics, 2016), Maria Lasonen-Aarnio (Philosophy of Mind, 2014) and Nicholas Jones (Metaphysics, 2012).
