The Oxford Character Project and Institute for Ethics in AI will hold a panel with Shannon Vallor and colleagues from the Edinburgh Futures Institute. The panel will explore how the tradition of virtue ethics -- which dates back to Aristotle -- can be applied to hybrid systems that include both humans and computers. In particular, it will explore what it is for such hybrid systems to have or exhibit virtues, and implications for moral deliberation, moral attention, and solidarity.
