Modal dispositionalism is the view that (metaphysical) modality is a matter of the dispositions of objects in the actual world. It is a distinctively localized theory: it sees modal truths as grounded not in entire possible worlds, but in typical cases at least in the modal properties of individual objects. In this paper, I formulate a problem for modal dispositionalism that arises precisely from this localized nature: the problem of necessary masks.

In order to receive the papers and be invited to the Teams meeting, please join the mailing list by emailing one of the convenors below. You are all very welcome, and we are grateful for support in this new initiative!
