Theme of Trinity Term Seminar: 'Alexandria 5th AD'

This paper aims to outline some aspects of the reception of Porphyry’s Isagoge in Alexandrian Platonism. It will be investigated how the distinctive features of the metaphysics in Ammonius’ school emerge in the exegesis of some passages from Porphyry.

All talks take place at Corpus Christi College, Seminar Room, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Drinks are served afterwards, to which all are warmly invited.
