I argue that deflationism about truth is not committed to a form of inferentialism but is compatible with the model-theoretic approach to logical consequence. Moreover, if the role of models is understood in a certain plausible way, a suitable substitutional approach could do the job equally well. I show that under this understanding, the deflationary conception of truth is in a particularly favourable position to foster the conceptual convergence of the semantic and the inferentialist approach to logical consequence.

After the talks all are invited to socialise and continue discussion over drinks in the Ryle Room.

If you would like to join for dinner after the drinks reception, please email sean.costello@philosophy.ox.ac.uk
