Before starting at Oxford, I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Hull and my Master's Degree from the University of Warwick, where I was awarded the 'Departmental Prize for Outstanding Performance'.
I have so far provided undergraduate teaching in Moral Philosophy (specifically Mill's Utilitarianism) and Post-Kantian Philosophy (specifically Hegel, Nietzsche, and Sartre).
I am also the Editorial Assistant for the Hegel Bulletin, published by Cambridge University Press.
My interests are in metaphysics, the philosophy of science, and post-Kantian philosophy - and, in particular, the work of G. W. F. Hegel and Gilles Deleuze.
I am currently exploring what I consider to be significant (if surprising) parallels between Deleuze's thought and ontic structural realism. Drawing on the work of Manuel DeLanda, my thesis aims to render this relationship explicit and to appreciate the novel conceptual resources that Deleuze affords to contemporary debate in analytic philosophy of science.
