Dias Duran, L.D. (forthcoming). Relational ethics in AI-mediated healthcare: Revisiting the implications of patient, user, consumer, and client labels. Proceedings of the Conference on Technology Ethics 2025 (Tethics 2025). November 11-12 2025. Vaasa, Finland.
My research interests lie at the intersection of moral philosophy, normative ethics, and technology, particularly in the fields of medical ethics and education. In my most recent research, I have sought to examine how rights, agency, and responsibility are impacted by the development and deployment of artificial intelligence through a rights-based, relational lens. I am also interested in questions of moral justification in discussions about the distribution of rights and duties.
