Abstract: This public panel, convened by the Accelerator Fellowship Programme in collaboration with the Centre for Transnational Legal Studies, features Professor Yuval Shany and leading experts in law and technology. The discussion examines the human rights implications of AI systems, identifies protection gaps in current frameworks, and considers the need for new normative developments. Particular focus will be given to the adequacy of existing UN accountability mechanisms in addressing AI-related harms. The panel also explores the potential for AI to support and strengthen human rights monitoring and enforcement.
